Bill Bymel is a real estate advisor, asset manager, author, filmmaker, creator and loan investor with more than two decades in the secondary mortgage and non-performing loan markets. He is the founder and CEO of First Lien Capital, a privately held investment firm focused on distressed and special-situation real estate and mortgage assets, and the force behind its sister companies First Lien Resolutions and UCLS.

He is the author of Win-Win Revolution (2017) and The Storm: Markets Meet Mother Nature (2026), host of The Debt Doctor on YouTube and the Debt Doctor podcast, a TEDx speaker, and a filmmaker who studied at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
